Our Story

Established in 2017, The Iron Suites Medical Centre (TISMC) is a medical clinic focusing on the management of iron deficiency.

 

TISMC was founded by Tim Cushway after years of research in the field of iron deficiency, with a special interest in intravenous iron therapy. In his previous role, Tim was responsible for the global clinical trial program of a high-dose intravenous iron and supporting its product registration in Singapore.

Tim is joined by like-minded local clinicians, experienced nurses and an International panel of expert advisors that recognise and understand the importance of managing this nutritional disorder, which impacts about 1 in 3 women and can have debilitating impact on individuals.

Mission

We are healthcare professionals dedicated to educating, diagnosing and managing iron deficiency with a focus on intravenous iron infusions.

Vision

We aim to improve the health, quality of life and productivity of individuals and ultimately the nation by correcting iron deficiency, a highly prevalent and yet eminently treatable nutritional deficiency.

Our Medical Expertise

Dr Su Xiaoting
MBBS (Singapore)

Dr Su Xiaoting is a General Practitioner (GP) who graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She holds certificates in Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support and is pursuing special interests in aesthetic procedures and nutritional medicine with a focus on iron deficiency.

 

Before entering the private sector as a GP, she has practised at various hospitals including Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital where experience was gained in various disciplines including Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, Urology, Hand Surgery, Paediatric Plastic Surgery, Orthopaedics and General Surgery. Most recently she has been working as a visiting doctor in Mount Alvernia Hospital. Additionally, Dr Su is a certified practitioner in the endorsement of Lasting Power of Attorney, accredited by the Office of Public Guardian, and has also attended the Singapore Hospice Council Postgraduate Course in Palliative Medicine.

 

Dr Su’s clinical interests include lifestyle medicine, nutritional medicine and dive medicine. Outside of work she is actively involved with multiple charities (Pathlight, Children’s Cancer Foundation, Singapore Kennel Club and Riding for the Disabled) and lives an active lifestyle pursuing her passion for diving, free diving, kayaking, sailing and climbing.

Dr Lim Jiesheng, Tyler

Dr Lim Jiesheng, Tyler is a General Practitioner (GP) who graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Dr Lim is a certified doctor by the Exercise is Medicine Singapore (EIMS). Further, he is also a certified practitioner in the endorsement of Lasting Power of Attorney, accredited by the Office of Public Guardian.

 

Dr Lim spent his early clinical years practicing in several government restructured hospitals including Singapore General Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He was awarded several awards such as the ‘Service with a Heart Award’ and ‘National Healthcare Group Teaching Award (Outstanding)’.

 

Dr Lim has an active interest in research and presents in local and international conferences to share his clinical experience and knowledge in plastic and reconstructive surgery as well as dermatology.

 

Dr Lim’s clinical interests are in the field of Lifestyle Medicine, Dermatology and Venereology, Sexual health, Men’s Health as well as Sports and Nutritional medicine. He practices and advocates the use of evidence-based lifestyle therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat and reverse lifestyle related chronic diseases that are all too prevalent. Dr Lim believes through his practice he can help his patients achieve the lifestyle they desire.

 

In relation to these clinical interests, Dr Lim has a special interest in the role of iron to improve exercise capacity, physical endurance and overall energy levels of patients.

Dr Raymond Ong

MBBS (Singapore)

Dr Raymond Ong is a General Practitioner (GP) who graduated from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He holds a certificate in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitation.
 
Before entering the private sector as a GP, he has practised at various hospitals including KK Women’s & Children’s Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital where experience was gained in various disciplines including Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics and Cardiology. Most recently he has been working as a visiting doctor in Mount Alvernia Hospital. Additionally, Dr Ong is a certified practitioner in the endorsement of Lasting Power of Attorney and is accredited by the Office of Public Guardian.  
 
Dr Ong’s clinical interests include lifestyle medicine and paediatrics. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family.

Dr Dheeraj Khiatani 

MBBS (UK)
BSc (Hons) (UK)

Dr Dheeraj Khiatani is a General Practitioner (GP) who graduated from the world-renowned Kings College London School of Medicine in the UK.  He also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychiatry in addition to his MBBS degree. Dr Dheeraj was bestowed the George Leech Cup- an award presented to only one student in each cohort, for his contribution to student welfare as the Medical Society President. Dr Dheeraj also selected for an elective position in cardiology at the famous Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, USA.

 

Dr Dheeraj spent his junior doctor years rotating through several NHS hospitals in England. He worked in various specialties including Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Anaesthesia and Intensive Care (ICU) medicine. Upon his return to Singapore, Dr Dheeraj gained further experience in Emergency Medicine and Otolaryngology (ENT) surgery at government restructured hospitals including Singapore General Hospital and National University hospital.

 

He has an active interest in research and has presented at multiple International conferences in both the UK and Singapore on topics such as the management of diabetes in expectant mothers. Dr Dheeraj believes in integrative and holistic management for his patients and his background in Psychology helps him to treat both mind & body.
 

Dr Dheeraj’s clinical interests are in the field of Nutritional, Lifestyle and Aesthetic medicine. He is certified by the Singapore Medical Council Aesthetic Procedures Oversight Committee to operate laser machines and perform invasive procedures such as Botox and fillers. He also has a Level 1 Certificate Course in Aesthetic Medicine as awarded by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine.

Nutritional Medicine Expertise

Dr Loo Hui Voon, Nutritional Medicine

Dr Loo Hui Voon graduated from University College Dublin in Ireland. She completed her postgraduate family medicine training and obtained Master of Medicine in Family Medicine with the National University of Singapore. She holds the Collegiate Membership of the College of Family Physicians Singapore, MCFP(S).

 

She is  also trained in nutritional medicine, where root causes of diseases are addressed, explored, treated and supported accordingly. She takes on a holistic view when treating medical condition and places a strong emphasis on the lifestyle and dietary role as well as psychological well-being in disease prevention and treatment. She has special interest in gut related issues, food  intolerances, thyroid and adrenal issues, womens health, psychological health, paediatric health, cognitive decline and preventative medicine. She has undergone training in using nutrients to support brain biochemistry in mental health through the Walsh Research Institute in the US.

 

Academically, she is involved in postgraduate family medicine tutoring with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and acts as a sessional clinical facilitator with the LKC School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Dr Loo practices in The Iron Suites Medical Centre as a visiting clinician.
